That unmistakable aroma of eggs and bacon heralds breakfast on our covered garden balcony; it's Sunday morning and a chorus of Maggies start high up in the mighty white gums. The smell of dew freshened flowers invades the senses as a piercing stare from Mummy Roo alerts Joey he's coming too close, before back to the lush green grass he hops.
Such is life amongst the gum trees, out back and beside the pool most mornings. Our massive covered courtyard flows into the galley' where Mum creates another culinary delight. We have nearly 2 acres here, with around 800m2 of natural vegetation at the bottom end of the garden with fences on 3 sides.
We have a master home, built by a well known local builder. All improvements are of good quality and fit in beautifully to the natural surroundings. Our home is brick and tile, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, formal lounge, a huge games room/bar, an office, a double garage and an outdoor area that is cool in the summer and yet gets the winter sun for those chilly months. This building wraps around this undercover courtyard, which also abuts an in-ground swimming pool, to emphasise a wonderful entertainment area.
A little further down the back we have a full steel shed with 3 metre doors, concrete floor, and 15 amp power source. This shed is 10 x 7m with a 2 metre attached carport/verandah, which can comfortably house a large caravan, car and workshop facilities.
All the above improvements are in excellent condition as we (well mainly the wife of course) prides herself in meticulous up-keep and maintenance. Positioned about 5 minutes to Maclean CBD and 15 minutes from my favourite beach at Brooms Head, there's no fear of floods out here! It's like a world of your own, with only the whispering of the wind through the trees to distract our peace and quiet.
We know the state of the market and with all we have here we don't wish to move, but sometimes life forces unwelcome change. Our little piece of heaven is on the market and in this market we'll leave it up to the market to determine our price. We reckon it should be in the $400's but we're open to offers.
