What we love
Privately positioned to the rear, yet mere footsteps from the glorious surf and sand, this solid – and surprisingly-versatile – 4 bedroom 2 bathroom two-storey brick-and-tile home plus a separate 1x1 “granny flat” or studio out back that can be whatever you want it to be will pleasantly impress you with its flexible living options and ample parking space, Whether it’s multi-generational living or an Airbnb-style short-term accommodation option you seek, this wildcard in the floor plan will tick many of the boxes on your list. The beautiful tree-lined and ocean views from upstairs are simply an added bonus.
Imagine living right between the majestic “Class A” Star Swamp Bushland Reserve walking trails and beautiful Watermans Bay Beach off West Coast Drive – towel tucked under one arm, surfboard under the other and only a five-minute stroll away from your doorstep. In fact, vibrant Flora Terrace and its array of popular cafes and restaurants is also just around the corner. Stroll to bus stops, Little Bay, the sprawling Braden Park, Marmion Village Shopping Centre and Marmion Primary School from here, whilst indulging in a very handy proximity to the Marmion Angling and Aquatic Club, Sorrento Quay, the magnificent Hillarys Boat Harbour, the new Hillarys Beach Club, Trigg Point, public and private golf courses, community sporting amenities, major shopping centres (including new-look Karrinyup), the freeway, train stations, Sacred Heart College and other excellent educational facilities. What a spot.
What to know
A bus stop out the front of the property, verge parking space for visitors and lots of driveway precede a large single lock-up carport/patio (with double-gate drive-through access for a tandem second car to park at the rear) and a secure remote-controlled double lock-up garage with access to the private side yard, garden shed and clothesline.
In fact, even the backyard is a tranquil sanctuary of decent proportions, made up of a large sunken paved area, established gardens, a spacious dome entertaining patio overlooking it all and entry into the granny-flat’s open-plan living, meals, kitchen and bedroom area – with air-conditioning, a fan, a gas cooktop, walk-in wardrobe and an intimate ensuite bathroom.
Inside the main house, both downstairs bedrooms are carpeted for comfort, inclusive of a huge third bedroom with a fan, walk-in robe and access to a two-way toilet, off the laundry. The laundry also features access into a fully-tiled second bathroom with an open shower.
On the other side of the tiled entry foyer, the commodious open-plan living and dining area is graced by split-system air-conditioning and a gas bayonet for heating, adjacent to large kitchen with a ceramic hotplate, integrated dishwasher and more.
Upstairs, the second bedroom is light, bright and spacious, with its ceiling fan neighboured by three doors of full-height built-in robes and a stunning sea vista to wake up to.
The massive master bedroom – also carpeted – has a fan and over-sized walk-in robe of its own. Both bedrooms are serviced by a fully-tiled main bathroom and an expansive second lounge/study area with another fan, split-system air-conditioning and access out on to an enormous balcony deck that also takes in magical evening sunsets, as well as our famous Rottnest Island in the distance.
Extras include tiled lower-level flooring, solar panels, security doors and screens, an instantaneous gas hot-water system, reticulated gardens and a hot/cold water outdoor shower. Your new life by the beach, beckons.
