Some properties are special. Others are simply irreplaceable.
This is one of those properties you drive past and dream about owning.
Set on approximately half an acre of beautifully established grounds, directly on the banks of the magnificent Kalang River and within the very heart of Urunga, this is a property of exceptional rarity.
Privately positioned yet remarkably central, it enjoys an ever-changing natural panorama across the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers, with views extending towards the river mouth, coastline and beach, while the Dorrigo ranges provide a magnificent backdrop to the north.
The main residence is filled with character and natural light, featuring impressive high ceilings, a modern kitchen, open-plan living, two generous bedrooms and a tiled bathroom. Breezeways connect the main residence with a substantial separate two-storey guest accommodation, creating an extraordinary opportunity for extended family, visiting guests or additional accommodation and income potential.
The guest residence is equally impressive. The lower level provides spacious open-plan living, a bar and bedroom, while upstairs captures what can only be described as one of Urunga’s most spectacular outlooks, with three bedrooms, a tiled bathroom, open-plan living, wet bar and private balcony overlooking the meeting of the rivers and the coastline beyond.
A separate laundry with additional shower and WC, together with a dedicated office/rumpus room, adds even further versatility to this remarkable holding.
But it is the setting that truly sets this property apart.
A private sandy beach frontage unfolds directly from the grounds to the tranquil waters of the Kalang River, creating an exceptionally rare connection to the water. Step outside and the river becomes your backyard.
Launch your boat from the private boat ramp or a kayak or canoe from the sandy shoreline, cast a line from the water’s edge, paddle along the river or simply sit quietly and watch the changing tides.
Dolphins and turtles are regular visitors, adding to the sense that this is a very special place indeed.
The combination of absolute waterfront, an expansive landholding and an enviable position close to the Urunga town centre, golf course and tennis courts creates a truly unique lifestyle and recreational setting.
For those with vision, the property also presents an opportunity to explore a variety of potential future uses, subject to the necessary council and statutory approvals. Concepts such as a waterfront restaurant, boat-related business, tourist attraction, recreational facility or other complementary use could potentially take advantage of its extraordinary position and direct connection to the water.
Holdings such as this are the type that families hold onto for generations.
They become part of a family’s story. Places where memories are created, where children grow up by the water, where generations return and where the setting itself becomes part of the legacy.
This is more than a home.
It is an opportunity to secure an irreplaceable piece of absolute waterfront, complete with sandy beach frontage, multiple residences, extraordinary river views and a remarkable position in the very heart of Urunga.
A property of this calibre, position and scale is rarely offered to the market — and once it is gone, an opportunity of this nature may never come again.
