Woody Point is the second suburb from the bridge and it is a quick trip to the city or the airport. Crossing the lovely long Hornybrook Bridge brings on an immediate feeling of relaxation. Everything you could possibly need is close by and we love that we are surrounded by the beautiful Moreton Bay waters. We happily walk down to the Jetty each morning to see the birds, the early fishermen, sea turtles and have even spotted a Dugong mum and calf. The coffee shops serve the best coffee and beautiful breakfasts!! The Belvedere Hotel, again easy walking distance, has wonderful meals, Happy Hours, Trivia nights and other events. The food is delicious too and at sunset it is stunning. There are many events down at the Woody Point/Clontarf parkland including Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival, Kite fest, classic car meets, sailing race days, jet ski race days, the floating playground (in Summer), the best fish and chips (seriously) and yes you can walk!!! There are exercise classes at the local hall, a Croquet Club and Sailing Club. Playgrounds for kids or grandkids and the fabulous Bramble Bay Bowlo with its delicious Chinese food and musical Bingo as well as live music – and yes it’s easy to walk! All of this just in our local area however there is so much more on the Peninsula (too much to mention)! Some of our favourites are the fabulous Redcliffe markets every Sunday where we shop for the best fresh produce, the wonderful Redcliffe Entertainment Centre and Whale Watching Tours from the Redcliffe Jetty!! We love our Poinciana lined Annie St. Just before Christmas the street becomes a sea of red flowers and it’s just so beautiful. There is a lovely little beach at the end of our street where you can swim and snorkel – just meters away!!! This lovely chocolate brick single level home is so easy to live in. Architect designed in the 1970’s the layout flows with open plan living and large glass doors opening to the outdoor garden area. We love that you are drawn into the back garden as soon as you enter the Kate St door. She will be an easy home to renovate as there is no need to dramatically change the layout. The back garden could easily accommodate a pool and with some advanced plants along the back fence you will be gifted with a private oasis. Being East of Oxley Ave means your investment will forever be protected. There is no more land to build any more homes and as such lots of people are renovating. It is continually interesting to see what people are doing to modernise their homes. We were looking forward to a long future here in Annie St. However, sadly (for us) our plans have changed and we have to move. We truly believe whoever moves here will love this home and all that this wonderful coastal area has to offer. Walking around here is always a joy and there are so many friendly faces to be seen. We have made wonderful friendships here and we know you will too!! Whether you’re looking to downsize, invest or secure your own piece of bayside living, 17 Annie Street presents an outstanding opportunity to enjoy one of the Peninsula’s most desirable waterfront precincts.
