---------------------
On the 7th floor of Haig Tower, this north-facing, light-filled two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment looks straight into the treetops of heritage-listed Haig Park, with a north-west aspect that fills the home with natural light.
From the moment you walk in, it feels like a home, not just an apartment.
Open-plan living and dining sit behind floor-to-ceiling glass, opening onto a 15m² curved balcony with a leafy outlook across the park to the hills beyond.
Planted in 1921 as a windbreak for Braddon and Turner, Haig Park is listed on the ACT Heritage Register, and it gives this home an established, green outlook on the edge of the city.
The kitchen has real personality, with deep blue joinery against timber-look cabinetry, stone benchtops and stainless steel appliances, in a layout that suits everyday cooking or entertaining friends.
Both bedrooms have built-in mirrored robes, and the main bedroom has an ensuite alongside a second bathroom, which makes day-to-day life easy.
One basement car space with security access, visitor intercom and lift access add another layer of everyday convenience.
With approximately 86m² of internal living, a 6.0-star EER and a 15m² balcony, Haig Tower, circa 2003, offers space and practicality that can be hard to find in newer developments.
For first home buyers, it's a chance to step into Inner North living in a home that already feels settled, with buyer assistance that may make that first step easier (see below).
For downsizers, it's the opportunity to leave behind the upkeep of a house without downgrading the lifestyle: more time, less maintenance and the freedom of lock-up-and-leave living.
Step outside and Braddon's cafés, coffee roasters and restaurants are just moments away. Haig Park is on your doorstep and Canberra City Centre is only minutes away.
Yet seven floors above it all, life feels remarkably removed from the activity below.
Unit 702 Haig Tower, Turner: come and experience the view for yourself.
