Offered to the market for the first time in 38 years, 30 Alcorn Street presents a rare opportunity to secure an oversized coastal landholding in one of Suffolk Park's most tightly held beachside pockets. Positioned approximately 100 metres from Tallow Beach at the peaceful, no-through end of Alcorn Street, the property combines an original beach bungalow, exceptional privacy and significant future potential in a setting increasingly difficult to replicate.
Occupying an impressive 1,093sqm allotment, the property backs directly onto permanent protected bush reserve, creating a tranquil natural backdrop that cannot be built out. With the beach moments from the front door and established bushland behind, there is an extraordinary sense of seclusion despite being close to Suffolk Park village and just minutes from the heart of Byron Bay.
Completed in 1989, the original coastal bungalow embodies the relaxed character of an earlier Byron era. Premium American cedar cladding, original hardwood floors, high ceilings and skylights bring warmth and authenticity to the interiors, while windows invite natural light and coastal breezes throughout. The central living and dining area is complemented by a separate sitting room, creating an inviting and easy-going beachside retreat.
The existing accommodation comprises two bedrooms, a retro-style kitchen, bathroom with separate shower and bath, separate WC and dedicated laundry. To the rear, a private covered deck looks into the established bushland, offering a peaceful setting for morning coffee, relaxed afternoons or entertaining surrounded by nature. A lock-up garage completes the practical layout.
Immediately enjoyable as a low-maintenance beach retreat, the property also offers compelling scope for its next chapter. Lease the bungalow as it stands, undertake a considered renovation. At approximately 1,093sqm, the landholding offers exceptional scale for this coveted coastal position.
With its combination of substantial land, protected reserve frontage and proximity to Tallow Beach, 30 Alcorn Street is far more than an original beach cottage. It is an increasingly scarce opportunity to secure a significant holding along one of the Byron coastline's most desirable residential streets, ready to enjoy today, reimagine over time or create something exceptional for the future.
