The details
The very same family has loved and appreciated the home for the best part of four decades – and now it’s your turn.
Double stained-glass sliding doors off the tiled entry foyer reveal a large carpeted and sunken front lounge with a brick bar and a remote security window roller shutter – all overlooked by a tiled and spacious formal dining room.
A striking feature archway leads into the commodious open-plan meals and renovated-kitchen area that is graced by tiled flooring, a corner gas log-fire heater, two ceiling fans with lights, stone bench tops, a water-filter tap, Omega stainless-steel range-hood, electric-cooktop and stainless-steel under-bench-oven appliances and backyard views and access.
The separate family room is dominated by gleaming wooden floorboards and also plays host to a gas wall heater and a ceiling fan/light.
Also downstairs are a laundry chute and a functional laundry/third bathroom with a shower and a two-way powder room that can also be accessed from the yard.
Upstairs, a grand wide staircase leads to the sleeping quarters and pure New Zealand wool carpets that have stood the test of time over the years.
A spacious master-bedroom suite boasts a “his and hers” walk-in wardrobe, a fully-tiled ensuite bathroom with a toilet and access to an under-cover front balcony where a tree-lined sunset vista is complemented by sensual sea breezes.
A light-filled fifth bedroom shares balcony access, with the three double-size spare bedrooms featuring full-height built-in double robes and linen presses.
Also up top are a second under-cover rear balcony with a leafy aspect, decent linen storage, a separate toilet and a fully-tiled main family bathroom with a bathtub.
Outdoors, a terrific rear alfresco and patio entertaining area off the kitchen and family room plays host to an original Metters stove and a wood-fire pizza oven.
The backyard is somewhat of a “blank canvas” with space for lawn, a future swimming pool or even a granny-flat if need be.
Extras include solar panels, evaporative air-conditioning, ducted-vacuuming, Jarrah finishes, double front security doors, gas hot water, bore reticulation and a remote lock-up three-car garage with high ceilings, under-stair storage, shopper’s entry and drive-through roller-door access to the patio.
Possessing size, strength and serious potential, this is a character opportunity that stands tall, above the rest.
