8B Fletcher Street, Rockingham

Some homes impress. Others leave you speechless. Nestled peacefully within a secluded cul-de-sac setting, this magnificent 5 bedroom 3 bathroom two-storey residence enjoys one of Rockingham's most breathtaking positions, framed by the tranquil beauty of Rotary Park at the rear and sweeping ocean views stretching across Mangles Bay. Just one street back from the Esplanade and the vibrant Rockingham Beach Foreshore, this is where luxurious low-maintenance “lock-up-and-leave” appeal meets an extraordinary coastal lifestyle. Wake to birdsong, unwind to spectacular sunsets and savour a location that very few are fortunate enough to call home. A secure entry courtyard is enclosed by two separate gates that reveal a lovely open sitting pergola in the garden, alongside a lawn patch, that captures plenty of natural morning sunshine. It all leads to a delightful side entry deck that accesses the home via gorgeous double French doors. Separate internal double French doors open into a large home office, whilst only inches away sits a light, bright and spacious fifth or “guest” bedroom suite with easy-care oak flooring, three doors of built-in wardrobes, a pleasant courtyard outlook and a huge fully-tiled ensuite/third bathroom – featuring a toilet, vanity, under-bench storage and an over-size shower with accessibility railing for those from all walks of life to take full advantage of. This versatile wing also doubles as an alternative downstairs master setup if you prefer to do most of your living at ground level. A functional laundry plays host to a double linen press, under-bench cupboards and also has a dog/pet door, leading out to the side drying area. The central lounge room comprises of a powder room (with a vanity basin and under-bench storage) and a generous under-stair storeroom, as well as opening out to a protected side alfresco deck – with a ceiling fan – that encourages intimate entertaining and overlooks artificial turf. A separate French door shuts off the enormous open-plan kitchen, dining and family area that is graced by split-system air-conditioning, an integrated log-fireplace heater with a striking feature wall and a statement tree-trunk timber pillar that introduces rustic architectural charm to the hub of the house, alongside soaring cathedral-style high ceilings. The kitchen itself oozes modern style in the form of sleek stone bench tops, a breakfast bar, appliance and microwave nooks, double sinks, tiled splashbacks, a huge walk-in pantry, a stainless-steel Bosch dishwasher and 900mm-wide stainless-steel range-hood, five-burner gas-cooktop and oven appliances. Two sets of sliding doors extend entertaining out to a pitched north-facing alfresco deck with a matching cathedral ceiling, café/shade blinds and a sweeping park, lake and ocean aspect to indulge in. It all overlooks an extended backyard and courtyard with double gates for your own private rear access to the park and the lake’s exquisite water fountains – as well as an easy route straight across to the beach. A gated hot/cold water outdoor shower down the side of the property is an added bonus for when sand needs to be washed off your feet. Upstairs, a third light-filled living/retreat area can be set up any which way you like and features a linen press, as well as access into a second powder room with a vanity, under-bench storage and plenty of natural light filtering in. A super-spacious king-size master suite comprises of a deep walk-in robe, sublime lake, park and ocean views to wake up to and a commodious fully-tiled ensuite – bubbling corner spa bath, large double shower, twin “his and hers” vanities, under-bench storage, separate toilet and all. Even the bathroom has its own slice of the scenic lake and sea backdrop, with parkland glimpses in between. Massive second, third and fourth bedrooms are also flooded with light and have their own built-in robes and leafy window outlooks, for good measure. They are also serviced by a light, bright and vast main family bathroom with floor-to-ceiling tiling, a shower, separate bathtub, twin vanities and under-bench cupboards. An extra-large remote-controlled double lock-up garage completes the package, boasting a powered storeroom with shelves, internal shopper’s entry and access out to the side drying courtyard and its two foldable clotheslines. It is preceded by ample driveway parking space for up to four more cars. Beautiful Lake Richmond is also perched nearby, along with seaside cafes and restaurants, excellent schools, other lush local parklands, shopping, public transport and even fishing at Point Peron.
