Positioned at the end of a quiet court and offered to market for the 1st time in 20 years, this exceptional 1.57ha (approx.) lifestyle property captures the sophistication of contemporary design within a serene country setting at the foothills of the Macedon Ranges. Just 9 years old and built by highly regarded local builder Layton Homes, the home showcases recycled red clinker bricks sourced from a Camberwell residence. Beautifully considered for entertaining and everyday family life, it enjoys a precise north-to-rear aspect, superb leisure facilities – including a pool – and wonderfully established grounds, while remaining within easy reach of township conveniences.
A Blackbutt front door creates an impressive introduction, opening to designer interiors distinguished by high, square-set ceilings and Spotted Gum flooring. Generous scale defines the open layout, where the kitchen sits beneath a vaulted skylight and presents stunning stone surfaces, a dedicated island with bar seating area, soft-close drawers, and a 900mm-wide Westinghouse upright oven, accompanied by a butler's pantry delivering superb utility with dual sinks and a Siemens dishwasher.
The kitchen connects effortlessly with adjoining dining and living areas warmed by a freestanding Hass & Sohn wood heater, while a separate sound-proofed rumpus room provides the kids their own space without disturbing the rest of the house. The northerly orientation is celebrated outdoors, where a vaulted pergola with 600mm pavers and exterior fans creates an elegant all-season entertaining setting. Beyond, a solar-heated, salt-chlorinated swimming pool provides an irresistible focal point against the greenery.
The 4 bedrooms include 3 with built-in robes, positioned within their own wing alongside a luxurious central bathroom featuring a stone vanity, shower and bath, plus a separate powder room. Privately placed, the main bedroom (4.2m x 4.9m) enjoys garden access, complemented by a walk-in robe and ensuite with frameless glass walk-in shower and stone vanity. Meanwhile, a generous study (3.6m x 2.9m) provides valuable work-from-home amenity, supported by NBN fibre to the premises and data cabling to various points throughout the house. A large laundry with expansive storage and a walk-in linen add everyday practicality.
Across the 1.57ha (approx.) holding, thick hedging and mature blossom trees lend definition to formal gardens before the landscape transitions to natural bushland. A dam with jetty brings another layer of tranquillity, attracting frogs and an array of native wildlife, with kookaburras and visiting kangaroos, wombats and echidnas adding to the rural experience.
Outside, there's a 6m x 4m shed on a concrete slab with power, circular driveway and integrated remote-controlled double garage featuring a retractable ladder to vast loft storage. Further inclusions comprise double-glazed Low-E windows and doors, split system heating/cooling, ceiling fans, solar panels, wood storage and 42kL water storage, plus a fenced veggie garden and chook pen/dog run.
Zoned to sought-after Gisborne Secondary College and Riddells Creek Primary School, with childcare services nearby, the property is approximately a 6-minute drive from Riddells Creek township, V/Line train services, supermarket, shops and cafés. Private schools are also within reach, including Salesian College in Sunbury, Braemar College in Woodend and Assumption College in Kilmore via bus services, while V/Line services make the commute into the city a popular option for professionals.
