This classic Queenslander stands proud, across from the beach, in upmarket Solander Boulevard, recently dubbed 'the most valuable street in North Queensland'! Majestically perched on an 804 sqm corner block, uniquely boasting 3 street frontages, this is a large two storey home, architecturally designed to be perfect for the tropical Port Douglas climate.
Solander Boulevard is where families like to holiday. It's quiet, there are no apartments here, just gorgeous relaxed beach homes with a large park at the end of the street. On what many consider to be the best part of Four Mile Beach, in the winter months, when Port Douglas enjoys an average temperature of 26 degrees, you can swim in the ocean right out the front, no jellyfish or crocs! Or, if you prefer home time in the pool, this property benefits from one of the largest in town! It's refreshing in the summer and heated for the winter months.
Open plan living areas spill out to the verandahs and balconies, on all sides. If entertaining is your thing, you have a kitchen servery window, opening out to the pool view and a substantial undercover outdoor dining area. The kitchen works well, with an island bench and an enormous pantry. There are two sitting rooms, one very large living space downstairs and another upstairs. A ground floor bedroom enjoys an ensuite and external access, with four additional bedrooms upstairs, each is very generous in size, the kid's room sleeping four. The master suite has an ensuite and walk-in robe, the other three bedrooms share two bathrooms. The fourth bathroom/laundry is off the double car garage, with its own external access, ideal for returning from the beach or the pool.
Western red cedar timber floors and feature walls upstairs are a feature of this Queenslander style, the high ceilings add to the feeling of space. A unique internal hexagonal void with Rosewood balustrading allows the air to travel throughout the home, from the lower level to the top, keeping it cool even on the hottest of days. However, the home is fully airconditioned if preferred.
Established gardens of heliconia, bougainvillea, scented hedges, and coconut palms surround the home, adding lush ambiance and total privacy. There are twin bores used for the pool, gardens, and lawns. Birdlife aplenty! Ospreys circling above hunting fish from the ocean, sunbirds nesting under the verandahs, kookaburras laughing in the trees above the pool, green tree-frogs, skinks and geckos remind you that you're in tropical Far North Queensland.
In recent years, this beauty has become an extremely popular holiday-let home. Comfortably sleeping 12 people, it is ideal for large groups and families. To be sold fully furnished, with forward bookings and low ownership costs, this is an outstanding investment opportunity that you too can use for your personal holidays.
Create your own family memories in this large home which oozes true tropical character and charm.
