Architect: SP Studio. Address 15 Brindle Street, Paddington Architect SP Studio Land 708sqm Build 335sqm Result Sold $3,660,000 Sold March 2026 Jacaranda House by SP Studio Designed around its namesake jacaranda tree, Jacaranda House is a thoughtful reinterpretation of the 1920s Queenslander, reimagined for contemporary family living by SP Studio. Set into the natural slope of the 708sqm block, the home has been carefully carved into the hillside, where two lower-level living zones are naturally tempered by the thermal mass of the rock and earth that encase them. With a prized north-easterly aspect, the four-bedroom residence captures cooling cross-breezes and an abundance of natural light throughout. Transitions between old and new, and between indoor and outdoor living, are seamlessly resolved through a refined palette of brick, timber and concrete. At the heart of the upper level, the signature contemporary addition is the family kitchen, deliberately positioned as the final space to be revealed on arrival. Expansive timber sliding doors open almost completely on two sides, creating a garden kitchen pavilion where sunlight filters through architecturally detailed eaves and the canopy above. Carrara marble benchtops, streamlined joinery and premium integrated appliances are complemented by a considered stepped counter, transitioning down to a generous family dining table. This level flows to the outdoor terrace with built-in BBQ, landscaped lawn and gardens, central courtyard and an all-season fireplace, delivering a lifestyle equally suited to relaxed family living and entertaining. Framed in view from the kitchen is the newly added 9x3m tiled, in-ground freshwater pool with heat pump. Pool overflow is filtered into on-site water tanks, supporting sustainable landscape irrigation. The original Queenslander formal dining room and living area anchor the home with classic proportions, enclosed verandah and beautiful leadlight glass windows. The master suite has been subtly extended from the original footprint, creating a private pavilion. It includes built-in robes and ensuite, with views framed by the jacaranda and stretching north across the lush rear gardens rising on the opposite side of the gully. Two additional bedrooms complete this level, including one with a recessed picture window designed as a daybed nook. The main bathroom with a shower over bath. Downstairs, a tranquil architectural studio and workshop are naturally cooled year-round by the surrounding rock and earth. This level also includes a home office, a rumpus room area, fourth bedroom and a combined bathroom/laundry. Simply exceptional in every respect, the home is further enhanced by sustainable landscaping, a two-car garage, solar electricity and security. Key Features
