Renowned for its Georgian and Victorian sandstone buildings, Oatlands is conveniently situated mid-way between Hobart and Launceston, and within easy reach of the wild trout fishery and spectacular scenery of the Central Highlands.
The Coachman's Cottage (ca. 1890) is a beautifully preserved, heritage-listed sandstone cottage in Oatlands High Street, with 2.2 acres of private grounds with stone walls, one of the original town wells, and views of the newly restored windmill. There is a huge lounge room, renovated bathroom, and timber kitchen. There are two downstairs bedrooms and a timber staircase leading to an upstairs dormer bedroom/parents' retreat.
The property has a separate red cedar guest chalet with en suite that has potential for B&B.
