A message from the vendor
We bought Petwood' as a haven when contemplating taking up city life from our rural property in the South East of South Australia.
It was love at first site when we first discovered Petwood. The lovely long driveway leading to the modern homestead nestled amongst the big gum trees helped us fall in love with the property before we even got out of the car.
The house is not only beautiful and modern it is also very functional and perfectly positioned to take in the property's best views, particularly moon valley' where you can watch the moon rise amongst the gums, it's simply breathtaking.
The land quality was important to us. It had to be productive and due to the alluvial soil types, undulation, water catchment and rocky out crops we knew that this property would support our cattle and sheep and allow us to enjoy the abundance of waterbirds that frequent the dam and picturesque winter creek in front of the house.
Another big tick was the off-grid power source. We recently updated the battery bank at the property and the system works like a dream without any power bills, we love this!
It is only due to changes in our work commitments that mean we have to leave this beautiful area but we very much look forward to handing the property over to someone who will love it as much as we do.
The house and land would suit someone who wants to live in a rural setting with the convenience of Mount Barker and the Bald Hills interchange to the South Eastern Freeway just minutes away.
It truly is a property that allows for the best of country living with world class amenities at your doorstep.
