From the outside, you’ll be charmed by the dramatic 1966-built Cape Cod New Colonial home, which rises proudly from its north-west facing 657sqms (approx.) corner with fairytale style dormer windows and a gabled roof.
Step inside ‘Camellia Cottage’ and you’ll be surprised by the space and modern enhancement of the signature residence, which has been extended and refreshed with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas and an outdoor living space.
This artist’s haven has been nurtured by esteemed botanical artist Helen Burrows, lovingly landscaped with rare plant species, an orchard and citrus grove, and a whimsical wraparound pergola draped in blue wisteria for its spring show. The property retains all the charm of its vintage heritage, adding the fresh brushstrokes of newly polished satin finish Tasmanian Oak floors, crisp white paintwork, European kitchen appliances, instantaneous hot water, central heating and split system cooling, and a panel lift door and internal entry via the 1.5 garage.
Across its double storey expanse, the home’s unique picture windows and plantation shutters softly diffuse the light, presenting beautiful garden outlooks at every turn – including a Japanese Maple grove from the second bedroom, a colourful canvas of spring daffodils and bluebells from the living room, and towering views of the landmark Lebanese Cedar tree from the master bedroom retreat. An ensuite to each of the top floor bedrooms creates the privacy of a studio apartment, drawn together by a sun-kissed central retreat, with additional attic and wardrobe storage.
Sustainably equipped with 7500L of rainwater storage, with no lawn to maintain, and generous paving to guide you through Mulgrave’s very own botanical paradise, this is a very special property ready to welcome its next privileged residents to the ‘Golden Triangle’ zoned for Brentwood Secondary College, with elite private education at Caulfield Grammar, Mazenod and Wesley College, connected by the Monash Fwy and Eastlink, with shopping at Pinewood, Waverley Gardens, The Glen and the coming $135million redevelopment of Brandon Park
Shopping Centre.
