After more than a century of family ownership, "Roundhay", 3422 Mount Walker Road, Mount Walker, is being offered to the market for the first time in generations. Owned and operated by the Brayshaw family since 1924, this substantial mixed farming holding presents an exceptional opportunity to secure scale, established infrastructure and a proven farming history.
Comprising 3,678.6629 hectares (9,090 acres), with approximately 3,222 hectares (7,962 acres) indicated as arable, "Roundhay" is offered as a whole or in three parcels: "Roundhay", "Treloar's" and "Menegola's & Lethlean's". The property currently operates on a 50/50 cropping and grazing rotation, with wheat, barley and oats planted for the 2026 season alongside 1200 Merino ewes and lambs of Kolindale bloodline and 500 hoggets.
Water security is supported by twenty-one dams, two solar-powered bores and approximately ten water storage tanks. According to BOM (Mount Walker) the area receives approximate 317 millimetres of average annual rainfall. A 220,000L rainwater tank collects water from the large granite rock to service the house and surrounding yards.
Soil types consist of red and grey duplexes, sandy duplexes, loamy gravels and yellow sandy earths across the holding. Topography is gently undulating with original timbers of predominantly mallee woodlands, salmon gum and gimlet woodlands. Extensive salt land rehabilitation has been undertaken on multiple sites across the farm.
Infrastructure across the holding includes multiple machinery sheds, 4-stand shearing shed, sheep yards, 7 x Moylan grain silos, 250T fertiliser storage shedding, Urea silo and Flexi-N storage tanks. The "Roundhay" parcel also features a neat four-bedroom homestead with below ground swimming pool, single and double garage parking and underground cellar.
Located just 5* linear kilometres from Mount Walker and 25* linear kilometres from Narembeen, the property enjoys excellent access to CBH receival sites and regional services. Road frontages include Mount Walker Road, Mount Walker Road North, Mount Walker Road South and Emu Hill East Road.
With proven productivity, substantial scale and a farming legacy spanning more than 100 years, "Roundhay" represents a rare opportunity to secure a significant holding in a tightly held agricultural region.
