Yesterday’s grace meets today’s family space. A gracious presence on this leafy streetscape of period homes, this substantial four bedroom, two bathroom Californian Bungalow is a superior example of its time - extended from a solid brick base to provide great space for a family. From a fire-warmed formal lounge through double-doors, to the relaxed open plan living and dining area, looking through an immense single-pane picture window for all day sun and garden views. There are French doors opening to an al fresco area for entertaining and expansive lawns to enjoy and play. Ready for family life with a well-appointed kitchen, this centrally heated and reverse-cycle air-conditioned home features quality bathrooms, a large laundry and abundant storage including an attic. There is a through-access double doored garage with rare internal access for secure and sheltered entry to family living. But it's the rare beauty of superior period features that gives this substantial Californian Bungalow its most impressive point of difference. Richly detailed with original timber paneling in the entrance hall, pressed-glass doors, high decorative ceilings, polished floor boards, an eye-catching timber-mantled fireplace and lavish leadlights. These 930 sqm grounds have their own rare beauty with a lush garden and an English Oak facilitating summer shade and winter sun. A home on a sweeping curve, this garden sanctuary has every modern amenity in reach. A short walk to McKinnon train station, cafes and restaurants, Wattle Grove Reserve, Allnutt Park, Ormond Primary, McKinnon Secondary and a ten minute drive to Brighton Beach.
