* Home Open CANCELLED - This property is now Under Offer **Wander across this 1015sqm of rare earth close to suburban convenience, where you can lose yourself amongst the vibrant bottlebrushes and find yourself again in its calm, quiet corners. Believe that you can have the best of both worlds – a wonderful property with flourishing gardens supporting both edible and decorative native plants, all the while in easy reach of the Perth metro area.
Mahogany Creek has retained its small size while the townsites around it have grown, leaving this quaint 3x1 property to tick all the boxes for a live-in dream or lock-up-and-leave getaway. The 1979 double-brick home has been built to last, and two years ago the sellers installed German-engineered, quadruple-thickness glazed acoustic PVC windows for stellar internal noise reduction and temperature regulation. All the windows and entrance door on the road side of the property have been replaced with these units.
The single bathroom of the property has maintained its retro charm and pristine condition. Blue patterned tiles break up the crisp white on the walls, and there is a securely installed handrail in the shower. Staying warm in winter and cool in summer is easy here, with a ceiling fan and split system unit installed above the fan-forced convection fireplace in the spacious living area. In this room and the adjoining kitchen/dining, there is recently replaced hybrid vinyl plank flooring for cozy cottage appeal, without the upkeep of traditional floorboards. The welcoming country-style kitchen includes sweet display cabinets, cupboards and drawers with new doors, a gas cooktop with new electric oven, and the convenience of a dishwasher.
Outside, the expanded pergola has created an outdoor entertaining area big enough to rival an outback pub. There's enough space for tables and chairs, fruit and veggies, and a sheltered space for young ones to run, ride, or kick a ball when the weather is temperamental. Past the stone retaining walls, there are blooming gardens and pathways to a garden shed, chook run, much-loved cubby, and a full-sized studio cabin with its own potbelly fireplace. Add front and rear lawns, raised kitchen garden beds plus a garage and carport – this property offers a complete package for anyone seeking a peaceful place to stay that's not too far away.
For families with kids, this home is zoned for multiple local public primary schools and is within easy reach of public, private and Steiner secondary schools. Mundaring Child Care Centre operates around the corner, right across from the local bus stop. The nearby township of Mundaring is home to a popular and expanding shopping centre with Coles, Woolies and Aldi all present, several health centres and pharmacies, and is the nexus of a thriving arts community that hosts classes and functions through its local art gallery. There's also world-class bushwalking and a local aquatic centre within striking distance - the close-knit community here is second to none!
