If you've been searching for space, privacy, and the ability to live on your own terms, this is it.
Set across 103 acres just 11km from Maclean, Higher Ground offers a rare opportunity to step into a fully established off-grid lifestyle without sacrificing accessibility. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Yuraygir National Park and within reach of the coast, this is where independence meets convenience.
Designed for self-sufficient living, the property is powered by a recently upgraded 5kW solar system with deep cell battery storage. Ample rainwater, productive food gardens built on permaculture principles, established fruit trees, and space for livestock allow you to live sustainably and reduce reliance on external resources.
At the centre sits a solid, north-facing 4-bedroom home, built for comfortable rural living. A spacious kitchen and open-plan living area connect seamlessly to the surrounding landscape, with a wood-burning heater providing warmth and a true sense of home through the cooler months.
Beyond the residence, the property is already set up for a lifestyle or income stream. Multiple established Hipcamp sites, communal kitchen and amenities, a swimming dam, and fenced grazing areas provide flexibility for eco-tourism, hosting, or simply enjoying the land with family and friends. A significant portion of the property is protected Melaleuca forest, preserving the natural environment and ensuring long-term sustainability.
Whether you're looking to disconnect, build a more self-reliant lifestyle, or create an eco-based income, Higher Ground offers the foundation to do it properly.
