Your Hampton East waterfront home comes with iconic mid-Century design and a panoramic park perspective. Facing north across a field of green to the waters of Basterfield Park’s lake, this breathtaking three bedroom, two bathroom mid-Century home is a notable example of the era – updated and extended with real respect for the architecture of the time.
Innovatively presented with all the best elements of Modernist design and renovated with the best ideas in today’s architectural design, the home unfolds with a cutting-edge presentation of its time – opening beyond sheltered decking to two wings of living linked by central gallery and bedroom zone. Placing principal living where it’s wanted most (catching park views and north sun), the home opens up with separate areas to lounge and dine beside a granite Miele and Smeg appliance kitchen… before stepping back to a second vast living zone with decks in two directions – one to entertain, the other to enjoy a lemon-scented breeze in a fruitful rear yard of lawns and vegie-boxes.
Updated and extended by a talented architectural designer, today’s home maintains the integrity of the original with a vast fan-cooled master-suite wrapped by streamlined robes, and a sleek fully-tiled bathroom and ensuite - each with a deep stretch of stone-topped 2-Pack cabinetry. Centrally-heated and reverse-cycle air-conditioned with ceiling fans and robes for every bedroom, there are all the comforts of the modern day …and all the flexibility for how we live now with room to configure a vast fourth bedroom in the rear living zone, and scope to convert a glass-doored powered garage as work-from-home office or garden retreat.
Beautifully park-view positioned on a tightly-held mid-Century cul-de-sac, this Modernist masterpiece is an unparalleled opportunity for a modern family - with the playground at the door, the tennis club across the park, Highett’s café society within a minute, and in-demand Bayside schools and sports clubs in reach. Wake to the sound of the birds and the scent of lemon blossom, entertain on the jarrah deck, watch the swans teach their babies to swim, live with iconic design and the full park panorama!
