This contemporary masterpiece takes full advantage of its exclusive summit-top location, capturing one of the most envious and spectacular 180-degree views in Geelong.
Custom built across two levels and beautifully tiered down a landscaped hillside, it is designed to showcase sweeping views across Fyansford and the picturesque Barrabool hills.
Whether you’re reclining on the upstairs balcony, curled up and cosy in the main living area, letting the bubbles in the poolside spa calm a hectic day or chilling out in a secret garden pavilion, you’ll be mesmerized by the ever-changing horizon. And, as the sun goes down, you know you have one of the best sunset views in the city.
This exquisite home, constructed by local builder J. K. Powell, is a statement in luxury, clever design and dressed with designer touches, quality fittings, abundant bespoke features and multiple living zones.
Its imposing street presence, featuring an architectural blend of glass, brick and timber, says it all. Floating concrete steps, caressed by luxuriant border plants, take you to imposing twin front doors.
Inside, tall ceilings and an extra-wide hallway of engineered herringbone flooring reaches right through the centre of the home. Off either side is a bedroom, with BIRs, a study/office or family room with two walls of built-in cabinetry, secure access to a three-car garage and fully-tiled designer family bathroom with shower, toilet and stone-top vanity set in a striking palette of tiles.
Opposite is an eight-seat “gold class” theatre room, with tiered flooring for your viewing pleasure. Surround sound, over-head projector, remote blinds, cinema-style fixed screen and opulent push-button controlled seating create optimum comfort.
The living/dining/kitchen zone opens to a towering two-storey void featuring a soaring faux-stone chimney and inset gas log fire. Windows reach through both levels. The kitchen commands the area with oversize stone waterfall island bench, wrap-around stone benches with Fisher and Paykel dishwasher, side-by-side double wall ovens and five-burner gas hob. The butler’s pantry features additional bench space, cabinetry and generous walk-in pantry.
Sliding glass doors open to a paved, under-cover alfresco area and adjoining covered outdoor kitchen with stainless steel barbecue, concrete bench, cabinetry and two-door bar fridge. These combined areas can cater to any entertainment crowd. Both zones overlook an exquisite garden, solar-heated pool and gas-heated spa, patios for the sun lounges and winding steps down to a secret sitting area and private pavilion. Look up! The stunning views follow you everywhere!
Upstairs features another sitting/entertainment zone of grand proportions with a food preparation/serving area, glass balustrade around the central void and spaces to relax and unwind.
Two more bedrooms on this level have BIRs and cabinetry with their own luxury ensuites. Double doors reveal the master suite, a grand space for the largest bedding furniture, a comfortable sitting area and private balcony. Adjacent is a dressing room with wrap-around BIRs and cabinetry and magnificent fully-tiled ensuite with double shower, double vanity, free-standing bath and separate toilet. All bathrooms feature black tapware and amazing tile combinations.
This exquisite home has reverse-cycle air-conditioning for year-round comfort. It also offers abundant family spaces and envious luxury and is handy to Geelong’s best schools, the Ring Road to Melbourne or the Surf Coast and still just 10 minutes to the CBD.
