- Sweeping river and mountain views - Sunny elevated east-facing pasture - Partially sealed access - Power pole / easy grid connectivity - 2 minutes to Franklin, 10 minutes to Huonville, 40 minutes to Hobart - Solid investment opportunity Spectacular expansive views are the defining feature of this 9.3 acre parcel of land that is situated on a sunny hillside above the historic village of Franklin. Nestled at the end of a quiet country lane, this elevated vantage point offers panoramic views of the Huon River and the Egg Islands. The land also affords views of kunanyi/Mount Wellington. This east-facing sloping pasture offers plentiful sun and a clear slate for development (STCA). It is part of a newly developed area so the neighbouring houses are tidy, well presented and modern. The generous land size offers plenty of room to create a living space with a sense of privacy from neighbours within a short, easy walk from Franklin village and its many cafes, Wooden Boat Centre and historic Palais Theatre. The property is only two minutes from the village, 10 minutes from Huonville and a 40 minute drive to the Hobart CBD. A power line runs across the property and the existing power pole makes connection to the grid very straight-forward and cost-effective. The land has been boundary-surveyed and pegged and the survey will be provided to prospective buyers as well as the results of a pre-purchase soil test and property search. Access is provided by a gravel reserve road at the end of Walpole Lane and a sealed right-of-way across the bottom of the property. An unimproved reserve road land allocation from the 1800s separates the block from its southern neighbour, creating a buffer zone between the two properties which has been planted with native trees. The sloping pasture would be ideal for a vineyard, grazing livestock, or left to the wallabies to be enjoyed at close proximity. Eagles often grace the skies overhead and the soil is a gardener's delight. This parcel of land offers amazing potential to build your rural retreat within easy travelling distance to all the conveniences of the city. Blocks of this size and with such spectacular views so close to Franklin village are becoming increasingly rare. With all-day sun and a breathtaking panorama of the river that changes throughout the day, this property is an ideal location for building your future family home, a peaceful retreat, picturesque short-stay accommodation, or as an investment for your future. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to secure a truly special parcel of land that blends rural tranquility, convenience, and views that uplift and inspire.
