462 Gore Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065

Constructed in the year 1900 approx and with only two owners names having appeared on its historic title, this freestanding Federation charmer is character filled and awaits a deft touch to restore it to its former glory. Completely freestanding and sitting on a sizeable 260sqm allotment approx The intact lacework, chimney pots and parapet are a precursor of what is to follow inside. Lofty pressed metal ceilings, stained glass, OFP's and generous original rooms precede a 1960s extension leading to a deep yard with vintage outhouses and timber carport, laneway access via Westgarth Street. Tree lined Gore Street is a wonderful quintessential Fitzroy location. It's 'village' ambience provides a charming community atmosphere and offers Smith Street as your local shopping strip, whilst the Brunswick Street precinct provides colour and character. Untouched homes on considerable land allotments are proving extremely difficult to find in inner-city Melbourne, a rare opportunity awaits.
