365a Specimen Gully Road Faraday

This lovely cottage offers a private and secluded home, a twelve-minute drive from Castlemaine. Located on a 75-acre property of box-ironbark bushland and grazing paddocks, it sits comfortably along the ridge away from the main house. There are views in every direction. Solid local sandstone walls, insulation and double glazing make the cottage snug in winter and pleasant in summer. Sunshine streams through the north-facing windows in winter, and a grape-vine canopy shades the windows and the patio during the summer months. The cottage is small in size but big in atmosphere. With one bedroom, a kitchen, bathroom, and a dining/living area, it is ideal for a single person or a couple and has been lived in and loved by both. Nature lovers can enjoy the local wildlife in the cottage garden and in the bush. For the environmentally conscious the whole property is self-sufficient with an off-grid solar system and its own rainwater supply. This means that there are no electricity or water bills for tenants. An NBN fixed wireless antenna is installed and ready for your connection, and phone and TV reception are good. Gas cooktop and wood heater. There is a carport for your vehicle or bikes. Available for inspection from 20th August by appointment. This property will be self-managed by the owner.
