Jellis Craig. Positioned to capture elevated views across Eltham North and framed by a striking double brick façade, this custom-built residence is a captivating expression of the area’s much-loved architectural character, defined by exposed vaulted timber ceilings, handcrafted details and a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout.
Introduced by a welcoming lounge rich in texture and charm, brick floors and timber-lined walls combine with a tranquil green outlook, while an open fireplace forms a beautiful focal point for relaxed evenings and winter gatherings. This living domain flows seamlessly into the adjoining dining space, creating an inviting setting for everyday living and entertaining alike. Privately located on the main level, the exceptionally spacious main bedroom is serviced by this living zone and has been enhanced with new carpet, a walk-in robe and a generous ensuite, providing a peaceful retreat of impressive proportions.
A short ascent reveals the heart of the home, where a timber kitchen showcases outstanding storage, a large pantry, gas cooktop, electric oven and new Asko dishwasher, all illuminated by a skylight that draws natural light deep into the space. Thoughtfully zoned for family living, the upper level unfolds into a separate rumpus room, offering ideal separation between living areas for younger and older family members while retaining the same distinctive warmth and character found throughout the home.
Three further bedrooms, all generously proportioned and fitted with built-in robes, are complemented by a modern central bathroom featuring a bath, freestanding shower and vanity, with a separate toilet for added convenience. Comfort is assured year-round with split system heating and cooling upstairs and gas wall furnaces servicing the lower level.
Designed in a unique U-shaped configuration, the home embraces a paved central courtyard that connects every living and bedroom space through beautifully crafted Oregon doors and window frames, creating a seamless relationship between indoors and out and enhancing the sense of privacy and cohesion throughout the residence.
Set on approximately one third of an acre, the grounds present outstanding scope for future enhancement, whether through potential subdivision at the rear (STCA), the creation of substantial garaging, or simply enjoying a vast, level lawn ideal for children at play. A separate workshop at the rear further enriches the property’s versatility.
Held by the same family since its construction 31 years ago, this much-loved home is located within the coveted zones for Eltham North Primary School and St Helena Secondary College, with convenient access to bus transport linking Eltham and St Helena, and close proximity to local amenities. Additional study space and recently upgraded fully internal laundry enhance the homes functionality for every day living.
A rare and compelling opportunity to secure a distinctive Eltham residence of enduring character, elevated outlooks and exceptional potential, where craftsmanship, family comfort and future possibilities unite in a truly special setting.
