31 Rowney Street, East Innisfail QLD 4860

Owned by the same family for over 20 years, the kids have moved out, and the time has come to sell. This home has the character of its era, with tongue and groove timber floors, high ceilings and coloured glass casement windows. An extension to create a large air-conditioned living room with glass doors out to a massive covered rear deck has improved the livability of the home significantly. This deck is where you will enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast, and it will be the spot you retire to of an evenng with the BBQ sizzling. It is a great venue for a party. Inside, the kitchen has been upgraded, with a 900 freestanding stainless gas/electric oven and striking cabinetry and backsplashes. The hallway leads to three generous bedrooms, and there is a dining room adjacent to the kitchen. You will probably favour the large table on the back deck. The home is high set with a large utility room underneath with its own full bathroom. It is not quite the legal height, but tell that to your teenage child. Parking is undercover for two vehicles at the front, but the block has two street frontages and allows access from the rear to a large two-bay garage with high clearance doors. The block is 1012 sqm, and though a portion of it is in a 1% flood risk, the owner has stated that he has never seen water on the property in the 20-plus years he has owned it. It is located towards the end of the street, in a very quiet cul-de-sac, which gets virtually no traffic at all. This home is an honest, character-filled family home which represents excellent value in the marketplace.Contact Michael Skuse
