Set on approximately 5 acres (20,227m²) in an elevated position of approximately 223 metres above sea level, this remarkable lifestyle estate is one of those increasingly rare properties that cannot simply be recreated. Built in the late 1990s by an owner-builder with an uncompromising commitment to quality, it represents decades of vision, craftsmanship and meticulous care, a magnificent family residence and a lasting legacy for generations to come. Beyond its exceptional home and grounds, the property carries genuine development upside: full road frontage across the entire five-acre boundary and water allocated to each potential one-acre lot position it well for future subdivision, subject to approvals, making this as much a strategic landholding as a lifestyle acquisition.
The principal residence is a masterpiece of engineering and traditional craftsmanship, constructed using first and second-floor monolithic reinforced concrete slabs, including counterbalanced verandahs, achieving a level of structural integrity rarely seen in residential construction today. Throughout the home, magnificent Western Red Cedar and mahogany, now increasingly scarce and virtually irreplaceable, provide warmth, richness and character. The interior features polished Australian Brush Box strip flooring laid over anchored battens fixed to the concrete slab, and magnificent spiral staircases with handcrafted mahogany treads mounted onto sweeping reinforced concrete arches. Every French door was individually handcrafted by a local master joiner specifically for this residence. The home offers four generous bedrooms plus a fifth room configured as a home office, four bathrooms including two ensuites, and an additional bathroom within the existing garage.
Complementing the main residence is a charming self-contained cottage, privately nestled amongst established gardens, with a carpeted bedroom, traditional galley kitchen, living room with polished timber floors, pot-belly stove, laundry, bathroom and north-facing verandah. A recently constructed timber-framed carport with generous undercover storage makes it ideal for extended family, guests, or rental income.
An outstanding freestanding studio/cabana offers a contemporary multi-purpose space, with commercial bi-fold glass door systems on all four sides opening completely to the landscape, awning windows for cross-ventilation, polished concrete floors, an internal galley kitchen, bar fridge, Fujitsu reverse-cycle air conditioning, three-phase power, indoor and outdoor lighting, external hot shower and full internal road access, suited to a professional studio, home office, creative retreat, wellness pavilion or entertainment space.
The property's infrastructure is equally impressive, with extensive custom-designed farm sheds featuring concrete and gravel floors, mezzanine storage, overhead lighting, large roller doors, commercial-grade shelving and racking, and full power throughout. A second timber-framed, corrugated iron farm shed on the northern section provides further storage and workspace with compacted ash flooring.
