Historical Notation:
In the mid '30s the sandstone stairs that disappear into the waters by the cottage were used as the stop for Windybanks ferry, which at the time was the only access as there were no sealed roads.
The builder of the cottage, Bill Simpson, was the stonemason for the area. He used to live in a cave above the cottage, and only had time to build his own in the hours after working on everyone elses in the area - hence the name "At Last" completed in 1929.
The bay is nicknamed 'Little Botany' as three of the original cottages were owned by people from Botany Bay.
