Welcome to WILLANTHRY – c1863 Homestead & Rustic Cabin on 60 Acres Originally built in 1863 as the general store and post office at Willanthry, this remarkable cypress pine homestead has been masterfully reconstructed in the Upper Yarramalong Valley, preserving the rich charm and craftsmanship of its pioneering origins. The authentic drop-log construction showcases a level of detail rarely seen today. The residence offers three generous bedrooms, including a beautifully appointed ensuite featuring a cast-iron clawfoot bath. Soaring 14-foot ceilings, polished ironbark timber floors and expansive north and east-facing verandahs enhance the home's rustic grandeur. The kitchen, complete with locally milled ironbark slab benchtops, flows seamlessly to the dining room where a slow combustion fireplace and historic Georgian 16-pane window create warmth and character. The lounge is centred around an open fireplace constructed from original handmade sandstone bricks, honouring the home's rich heritage. Modern comforts blend effortlessly with country living, including 4G and satellite NBN connectivity. The property is well equipped for sustainable, self-sufficient living with an 11.4kW solar system, electric vehicle charger, hard-wired 8kW backup generator with auto mains fail, new bore pump, three-stage water filtration system, concrete rainwater tanks and a fully equipped freshwater bore. Set against striking bush-rock formations and surrounded by towering cedar and eucalyptus trees, the acreage includes cleared pasture suitable for horses, an all-weather yard and shelter, established fruit trees and three dams. A generous rustic log cabin provides the perfect setting for a peaceful workspace, studio or inspiring creative retreat, offering warmth, character and flexibility within a tranquil rural backdrop. Located just 27 minutes to Westfield Tuggerah, schools and transport, and just over an hour to Sydney's North Shore, Willanthry presents an exceptional lifestyle opportunity. A rare chance to secure a significant piece of Australian history - without heritage restrictions - in one of the Central Coast's most tightly held rural valleys.
