Carrara, located on the southern bank of the Nerang River, is a central suburb of the Gold Coast located only eight kilometres from Surfers Paradise. The suburb's central location as well as the proximity to the M1 Motorway and Gold Coast attractions has made it popular among home buyers and demand in the area has increased accordingly. The area is a golfer's paradise with a number of golf courses in the suburb as well as many others in easy reach.
Carrara Markets, located on Nerang-Broadbeach Road, is a Gold Coast institution and attracts crowds of up to 25,000 every weekend.
