The sort of home you might expect to find tucked away in Leura or the Southern Highlands, this double storey weatherboard residence c1900 immediately evokes the character of yesteryear but is wonderfully appointed for today’s living. It features quiet, light filled interiors with plenty of space and cottage appeal, where even a previous architectural extension to the rear and north facing designer garden demonstrate a devotion to maintaining a home that reflects a simpler time. Tightly held for almost 45 years, the property is refreshingly unique and freestanding in one of Camperdown’s wide leafy streets a 15min drive or 6.5km cycle into Sydney CBD.Each room has its own unique characterTimber walls and floors, high ceilings Spacious lounge and open living/diningCountry-inspired kitchen, gas cooktopFour beds or three plus a sitting room Main bedroom opens to front balconyAnother bedroom has private sunroomNorth rear garden featuring green wall Garden shed & auto irrigation systemGated pedestrian access via rear lanePark with dog run at top of the streetWithin 950m of RPAH and Sydney Uni10min walk to Newtown train stationAn absolute gem at 56 Roberts Street
