I'm a cute little timber weatherboard house in a lovely street aptly called Station Street as I'm across the road from the Railway track in North Bundaberg close to the Railway Museum and Botanical Gardens, shops, cafes, Hospital and CBD.
A very pretty renovated cottage sits proudly beside me and I'm feeling a little bit downtrodden and would dearly love to be as pretty as my neighbour. My current owners purchased me after the 2013 floods and I was getting all fixed up but they are too busy and now I have to find a new loving owner.
I have so much potential with 4 bedrooms plus a study or maybe a butler's kitchen or walk in pantry. I have an entry room with space for a chair and a coat and hat rack to greet you at the end of a long day, 2 large living rooms for living and dining plus an additional kitchen/dining/family room with access to the back deck overlooking the back garden. I have a large bathroom with room for shower, bath and vanity, separate toilet and an additional room off the back deck for laundry or 2nd bathroom with separate toilet.
I come with an old rustic wooden shed out the back that is equally full of character with a large fenced back garden and lovely feature palm and pine trees that keep me shaded and attract lots of friendly bird visitors.
With the right loving owners I could be restored into the lovely character cottage that I once was. I have maintained some of my original features such as timber floors throughout most of the house, original casement windows including my statement stained glass window in the entry to welcome you everyday when you arrive home to spend time with me. I have high ceilings, vj walls and French doors too.
I have an iron roof and short little concrete stumps, and my walls are in place but I need further renovations and finishing off. My current owners have done some electrical work as well.
