4 / 52-54 Esplanade, Brighton, VIC, 3186

Grand, gracious and beautifully located at this iconic address, this impressive apartment is one of just four in the original Art Deco block of this prestige development. Showcasing increasingly rare period substance and scale, this up to three bedroom apartment opens with a wide entry hall, unfolds with a fine formal lounge (or vast third bedroom) beyond double doors, then steps out to a sea-breeze balcony from an open-plan kitchen-casual area. Starring a glossy granite kitchen with a full complement of Bosch appliances (including a gas-cooktop and dishwasher) plus a timeless bathroom with full-sized bath and separate WC, this beautifully proportioned apartment combines yesterday’s rich period detail with a wealth of contemporary comfort. Climate-controlled by marble-fronted gas-fireplaces (one for each living area) plus an air-conditioner, this grand design features newly-laid hybrid floors beneath lofty decorative ceilings, discreet storage including built-in robes, and vintage architectural detail including plate-rails and pressed-glass doors. Secured by an alarm and intercom to a screened stairwell, there’s even the unexpected bonus of easy-access basement garaging. With the Green Point parklands (and an iconic city sunset view) directly across the road, this Smart Deco beauty has beach access within 100m and Brighton Beach station within a dozen doors. Just one stop down the line to Church St’s shopping and Brighton’s private schools, there’s the CBD within an easy 25 minute rail commute (or safe beachfront cycle) and Brighton Beach Hotel and local cafes within steps.
