Established B2B Frozen Patisserie Business | 25+ Years | HACCP Certified
A rare opportunity to acquire an established Western Australian food manufacturing and wholesale business with a proven history, established customer base and significant untapped potential for growth.
Established in 2000, this B2b business has evolved from a local retail patisserie into a specialised B2B frozen patisserie manufacturer, supplying customers across healthcare, aged care, mining, supermarkets, hotels and commercial sectors.
Over more than 25 years, the business has developed strong industry relationships, including a history of supplying 50+ IGA stores, becoming a Metcash Approved National Supplier, and establishing long-standing relationships with healthcare and institutional clients.
In 2017, the business moved into a modern production facility and obtained HACCP certification, providing the infrastructure and compliance credentials required to service larger corporate, healthcare, mining and institutional customers.
The frozen product model supports operational efficiency , inventory management, reduced wastage and flexible distribution, while the existing systems and capabilities provide a strong platform to increase volume and expand the customer base without having to build the operation from the ground up.
A SMART, SCALABLE B2B BUSINESS MODEL
The business is strategically positioned as a B2B food manufacturing and wholesale operation, allowing the focus to remain on production, efficiency and larger-volume customers rather than the overhead and complexity of a traditional retail model.
Approximately 90% of the product range is frozen, providing significant commercial advantages including long shelf life, reduced wastage, efficient production, easier inventory management and the ability to distribute products throughout WA, interstate and potentially overseas.
The combination of an established product range, production facility, HACCP certification and B2B infrastructure provides a strong platform for a new owner looking to build a scalable food manufacturing and distribution business.
SIGNIFICANT GROWTH POTENTIAL
The foundations are already in place, with multiple avenues available to grow the business:
*Expand B2B distribution by targeting additional cafes, restaurants, hotels, caterers, supermarkets and independent retailers.
*Expand healthcare and aged care - established relationships and a growing market provide significant opportunity for further penetration.
*Grow the mining sector - frozen products are ideally suited to remote and FIFO operations due to their long shelf life and ease of transport.
*Reactivate the Metcash/ IGA opportunity, with an established history and Approved National Supplier status providing a valuable pathway back into the supermarket sector.
*Expand regionally and interstate, leveraging the frozen format and existing production capabilities.
*Develop distribution partnerships and agents to take products into new geographic and industry markets.
*Introduce new product lines, including vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, speciality and seasonal products.
*Increase online sales, with the existing online presence currently underutilised and significant scope for digital marketing, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer sales.
*Explore export opportunities, with the frozen format and long shelf life particularly suited to broader distribution.
UNDERUTILISED SHOPFRONT - IMMEDIATE UPSIDE
The existing retail frontage is currently significantly underutilised, presenting an additional opportunity for a new owner.
The space could be transformed into a destination coffee shop, patisserie café or retail outlet, creating an additional revenue stream while showcasing and selling the business's own products directly to consumers.
It could also be developed as a takeaway, retail showroom or complementary food concept, depending on the purchaser's strategy.
This provides the unusual advantage of acquiring an established B2B production business with an additional retail opportunity already sitting within the operation.
AN IDEAL ACQUISITION FOR AN EXISTING FOOD BUSINESS
The opportunity may be particularly attractive to an existing bakery, patisserie, café, catering, hospitality or food manufacturing business looking to expand its portfolio.
*Rather than building a B2B manufacturing operation from the ground up, an established operator could leverage the existing:
*Production facility
*HACCP certification
*Equipment and infrastructure
*Product range
*Brand and intellectual property
*Established customer relationships
*B2B distribution platform
*Frozen product capability
This could provide an existing operator with the ability to increase production, introduce new products, enter wholesale markets, expand distribution and add new revenue streams to their existing business.
ESTABLISHED BRAND & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
This niche business has been established in Western Australia since 2000 and has developed a recognised presence within the market.
The business name and its internationally registered trademark provides additional value and the opportunity to leverage an established brand as the business expands into new markets.
A COMMITTED OWNER & SUPPORTED TRANSITION
The current owner is passionate about the business and the legacy built over more than 25 years and is committed to supporting the incoming owner through a smooth and successful transition.
The owner is willing to work closely with the purchaser following the sale, sharing valuable industry knowledge, operational expertise, customer insights and intellectual property developed throughout the history of the business.
This support will provide the incoming owner with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the operation, products, systems and customer relationships, while benefiting from the owner's knowledge of the market, existing opportunities and potential avenues for future growth.
The owner's ongoing support will help provide continuity, confidence and valuable knowledge transfer, giving the new owner a strong foundation from which to take the business forward and unlock its significant potential.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This established business offers a compelling combination of longevity, established B2B customers, specialised frozen products, HACCP certification, modern production infrastructure and significant capacity for expansion.
The hard work of establishing the business, developing the products, building customer relationships and creating the production platform has already been done.
The opportunity for the next owner is to scale the B2B operation, expand into new markets, reactivate dormant wholesale channels, develop new products, activate the underutilized shopfront and leverage the existing infrastructure to build a larger and more diversified business.
An established business with the infrastructure to operate today and the opportunity to grow significantly tomorrow.
