Loved and enjoyed by the same family since the 1960s, this gorgeous home has seen generations of family memories made along the way. Originally built in the 1950s, it’s been beautifully renovated and extended over the years, even featuring in Homes & Living magazine back in 1990’s. Fast forward to today and it’s still looking fantastic!
Sitting proudly in one of Bicton’s favourite streets, the home has wonderful street appeal, with its impressive presence and beautifully maintained gardens setting the scene.
Step inside and you’re welcomed by lovely timber floors, a spacious formal lounge or dining room and a fabulous feature staircase that really makes a statement.
The centrally positioned kitchen is perfectly placed to connect the more formal areas at the front with the huge casual living spaces at the rear. It’s a great family layout with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy.
The rear living area is a real standout, stretching across the full width of the home and opening out to the beautiful backyard and established gardens. There is loads of space for entertaining, kids playing or simply relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Downstairs you’ll find three good sized bedrooms, a family bathroom and laundry, while a separate fifth bedroom with external access is ideal for teenagers, visiting family or even a home office or study.
Upstairs is a fantastic parents’ retreat, with a huge second living area, generous master bedroom, walk-in robe and ensuite complete with a spa. And then there are the views! Enjoy glimpses of the Swan River down the street and a beautiful outlook north towards Point Walter Spit and beyond.
There’s plenty of practicality here too, with a large side garage offering excellent rear access, plus a separate workshop and storeroom.
All of this sits on a generous 738sqm front block, just a short wander from Blackwall Reach, Kent Street Beach and some of the very best spots along the Swan River.
It’s a substantial family home in a brilliant Bicton location, full of warmth, character and plenty of potential for the years ahead.
After more than 60 years of being loved by one family, it’s time for the next lucky owners to move in and make some wonderful memories of their own.
