Backing onto the Russell River National Park with views to Mount Bellenden Ker and Wooroonooran National Park, sits a property with endless appeal. Just a short walk to pristine rainforest, waterfalls, and year-round creeks for those hot summer days. Just a 5-minute drive to Babinda township which has all major services including a hospital, supermarket, schools, police, and bank. The property is also situated 25 minutes to Innisfail and 35 minutes to Cairns. The closest boat ramp is just 5 minutes away, which brings you out at the Franklin Island group.
The residence is a solid 4 bedroom home, rendered block inside and out which has recently been renovated. There is a generous patio at the rear, the full length of the house. It is a lovely area to sit and enjoy the sunrise and listen to the birds wake up. There has also been the occasional Cassowary sighting. Beside the residence is an orchard with multiple citrus, bananas, avocados, mangoes, exotic plants, Abiu, mangosteen, and many more. On the opposite side of the house is a 7-bay machinery shed, 2 bays of which are used for handling and processing cattle. There are also yards and a loading ramp. The rest of the shed has a thick concrete slab with 3-phase power when needed. Powering the shed and house is a 6.6kW solar system, Fronius inverter, 10.5kW battery, and top-tier panels.
The property sits on 58.727 acres of flat, flood-free usable land which is fully fenced for stock using ironbark posts and powered by the latest Gallagher electric fence unit. There are 7 paddocks and a natural spring. Also attached to the property is a 60-megalitre water licence and bore. All irrigation infrastructure is in place from its previous use as a working banana farm. The opportunities are endless: horse agistment, cattle breeder block, cropping, or lifestyle block.
