6 Coral Avenue

Designed by award-winning architect Clare Cousins, this exceptional Beaumaris residence is a masterclass in considered architecture, natural materials and understated luxury. Opposite a beach access track, it offers a rare sense of privacy and tranquillity in one of Melbourne’s most coveted coastal settings. A striking composition of bagged brick and blackbutt timber, the home reveals beautifully resolved interiors where expansive north-facing glazing draws natural light deep into the living spaces and creates a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape. Every element has been thoughtfully considered, balancing refined aesthetics with exceptional functionality. At the heart of the home, expansive living and dining spaces are framed by garden and pool views, with Lambert and Fils lighting and a Cheminees Philippe Radiante fireplace creating an inviting atmosphere. Beyond, the Japanese-tiled heated pool and spa are embraced by established native gardens designed by Eckersley Garden Architecture, providing a peaceful backdrop for everyday living and entertaining. The blackbutt kitchen combines striking design with outstanding practicality, appointed with G-Lux marble and Corian benchtops, Miele ovens, twin integrated Liebherr fridge/freezers, extensive storage and a dedicated study nook. Adjoining, the distinctive curved ‘boat room’ offers a beautifully unique retreat, with a custom leather sofa and the charm of a contemporary conservatory. Designed for exceptional lifestyle flexibility, the lower level introduces a private cinema with 4K projector, screen and Bang & Olufsen surround sound, alongside a climate-controlled 700-bottle cellar and generous wellness room or gym. Upstairs, four beautifully appointed bedrooms, a family bathroom and a versatile home office or fifth bedroom provide accommodation for the entire family. The guest bedroom enjoys its own ensuite, while the sublime main bedroom offers dual wardrobes and a luxurious ensuite featuring underfloor heating, double shower and a Juliet balcony capturing the coastal breeze.
