Modernise a mid-century gem and enjoy a bright future in a brilliant Balaclava locale central to everything. Filled with sun and fifties charm, this original, 2-bedroom apartment is the perfect first home or investment with scope to add value, while taking advantage of an outstanding lifestyle. Walk to Ripponlea’s fine dining precinct, Carlisle Street cafes and shops, St Kilda Botanical Gardens and the city/beach train or tram.
Nestled on the ground level of ‘Karingale’, a well-maintained group of low-rise apartments in a quiet, tree-lined street, a west-facing balcony extends beyond a spacious lounge (gas heating) bathed in afternoon sunlight. A bright, supersized kitchen, lined with vintage cabinetry, boasts gas cooking, meals and a handy servery through to the dining room. Both bedrooms are graced with built-in storage, main with a wall of robes, and picture windows looking out to leafy surroundings.
Retro bathroom with laundry facilities. Off-street parking to the rear for 1-car. Solid brick and secure with the potential to polish the floorboards and repaint then update the kitchen and bathroom, and reap the rewards for years to come. On the border of Ripponlea, this location, like the apartment itself, is one of Melbourne’s hidden treasures.
