Located below the ridgeline in a peaceful environment, this architect designed, single level home places light and landscape at the centre of the 4-acre (approx) property, with walls of glass framing the natural world, drawing its restrained beauty into every room.
Expansive glazing crowns the main dining and living areas capturing northern light, while hydronic heating and a wood burner deliver radiant warmth, (fuelled by wood sourced directly from the property). The adjoining kitchen appointed with a Miele oven and dishwasher maintains a visual connection to the outdoors. External blinds, a grapevine covered pergola and a split system cool the home in summer.
Extending from the double-glazed living area, a sunroom looks across bushland while the wraparound deck offers an expansive setting for entertaining, elevated above the landscape with serene views across the dam.
The primary suite is zoned at the far end of the dwelling and includes an ensuite and an adjoining sun-filled den/retreat warmed by hydronic heating and a wood burner, with the option to close off for added seclusion. There are two additional robed bedrooms including one with a dual-access ensuite. The home's impeccable condition, including 8.5kW solar power and a security system, allow it to be enjoyed in all its current glory or reimagined over time through a contemporary lens.
Environmentally attuned, the grounds include revegetated natural bushland, water tanks, and a dam-fed vegetable garden including raspberries, globe artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, beans, herbs and tomatoes with a dedicated potting shed nearby. The home with a double carport and shedding are encompassed within electric fencing. A full-sized tennis court lies beyond this fence and the property is accessed via a remote front entry gate.
Sharing a boundary with the native plantings of Ausplant Nursery, nature is a constant companion here with koalas, wallabies, echidnas and more than 80 bird species visiting.
A small piece of paradise for those who enjoy the natural environment, it remains effortlessly connected, just 10 minutes from Red Hill and Flinders for everyday essentials and close to the region’s famed wineries, restaurants, farm gates, walking/mountain bike/horse trails, beaches and weekend markets.
