Beyond a traditional double-fronted, solid-brick Victorian façade, this four-bedroom residence has been expertly transformed, creating a striking dialogue between past and present that feels entirely at ease in its setting. With a second frontage to Brooke Street providing secure off-street parking and a rooftop retreat looking back toward the city skyline, it occupies a rare position between St Vincent Gardens and the village, where everything, from trams to cafés and the beach, is within easy reach. The original façade gives way to a finely tuned material palette, with heated polished concrete underfoot, exquisite Venetian plaster, and natural stone throughout, designed to absorb and reflect the northern light from the brilliant al-fresco aspect. Curved floating steps and a concrete hearth shape the open-plan living domain, offering subtle transitions without interruption, met by a statement marble kitchen appointed with a suite of AEG appliances and integrated refrigeration. A set of oversized stacked sliding glass draws the living and dining spaces outward to a north-facing courtyard, complete with low-maintenance garden borders, a custom built-in BBQ, a pizza oven and space for a large vehicle beyond a secure remote-controlled roller door. Two ground-floor bedrooms include a decadent main suite with LED-lit full-height robes and a luxurious ensuite featuring twin vanities, sky-lit architectural ceilings and a stunning freestanding bath. Two additional bedrooms with built-in robes follow upstairs, supported by a second marble-finished bathroom and rooftop terrace, affording extraordinary treetop outlooks towards the city and the village below. Zoned for Albert Park Primary and Albert Park College, with MSAC, the 96 light rail and popular cafés and restaurants all within walking distance, it is also enhanced by a large storage-rich laundry, a powder room, hydronic heated floors (ground), zoned reverse-cycle air conditioning, hydronic heating panels, alarm, CCTV and irrigation.
